We would like to take the opportunity to invite everyone to take An Advent Journey. Advent Journey is about taking you back to the time when Jesus was born. Travelers for the journey will receive a family card upon arrival at our church. You will be grouped together in small groups of approximately 15 for your journey. A Roman soldier will lead you on your journey through about twelve(12) minutes of mini-dramas that tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. The soldiers will then leave you at the Marketplace where you will see many authentic booths. After finishing your self-guided tour of the marketplace you will follow the star to the live nativity scene. |
Come pet the various animals including such things as horses, rabbits, goats, a donkey and even a camel. Visit the Inn, the Marketplace and most of all the manger of our Lord Jesus Christ.
As you journey back to the little town of Bethlehem our hope and prayer is that the Christmas season will take on new meaning for you and that you will see in a very realistic way what this special time of the year is all about. Through the mini-dramas, the marketplace, and the live nativity scene we hope the wonderful Christmas Story will come to life before your eyes. We pray that when you leave the Journey, the true joy of Christmas, the birth of God’s Son to save you from your sins, goes with you for the rest of the year.

This is our gift to you so there is no admission charge and journeys can be taken anytime between the hours listed. Total Journey times average about 21 minutes. Please check the heading for this year's dates and times. We also offer daytime hours for school trips and other groups.
