Bob Fisher, a veteran journalist, is back in the driver's seat at Connoisseur Media in Mason City, IA. After a brief stint at Coloff Media, Fisher returns to the familiar confines of Connoisseur Media, where he spent nearly three decades before a staff purge in May 2024. This time, he's set to reignite his role as the cluster's News & Sports Director, a position he held with distinction during his previous tenure. Fisher will anchor morning shows on News/Talk 1300 KGLO, delivering newscasts at pivotal times throughout the day, including 6am, 7am, 8am, 12pm, 4pm, and 5pm. Additionally, he will continue his long-standing commitment to play-by-play coverage of Clear Lake High School sports, which will air on Soft Oldies 1490/96.7 KRIB. Fisher expressed his enthusiasm for returning to KGLO, emphasizing his dedication to re-establishing the station as 'Your Hometown News Station in North-Central Iowa' and providing essential local information to the community.
