Victoria Beckham on Brooklyn's Claims: Inside the Family Drama (2026)

Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girl turned fashion icon, has recently addressed the public feud with her son, Brooklyn, and the claims surrounding 'Brand Beckham'. In an exclusive interview with Emma Grede's Aspire podcast, Victoria offers a candid and emotional reflection on her family's values, her parenting style, and the challenges she's faced in the public eye.

A Different Upbringing

Victoria begins by acknowledging the stark contrast between her children's upbringing and her own. She and her husband, David Beckham, have always prioritized protecting their children and providing a close-knit family environment. This approach, she believes, has been shaped by the vastly different world her children now inhabit compared to her youth.

"Our children have had a very different upbringing to myself and David," she says. "I think the world is also a very different place now than it was when they were younger. We've always tried to protect the children as much as we can, we've always been very close."

The Importance of Hard Work and Kindness

When asked about her parenting philosophy, Victoria emphasizes the values of hard work and kindness. She wants her children to recognize their sense of purpose and strive for their full potential. However, she clarifies that this is not about being pushy or forcing their ambitions.

"Ultimately, we want the kids to be hard-working, kind," she states. "I think that I've always wanted to be the best mum that I could be and look after the kids, but I feel that it's been part of my job to really help them fulfill their full potential. For them to recognize what their sense of purpose is."

Addressing 'Brand Beckham'

Victoria also addresses the claim that 'Brand Beckham' has always been a priority. She clarifies that building a brand was never a deliberate goal for her and David.

"People talk about Brand Beckham, and that has happened so organically," she explains. "When I first met David, he was a Brylcreem boy... David was Adidas and Brylcreem – and Pepsi, you know. I was in the Spice Girls, and that's where I learned so much about how to build a brand and marketing. So while he was doing Brylcreem and Adidas, the Spice Girls were doing Walkers Crisps, Pepsi, Chupa Chups lollies, deodorant."

She adds, "When people talk about Brand Beckham, that was never something that we ever even discussed together. David did what he did, I did what I do, and like I said, we're just a couple of builders. That's what we do. It's what we enjoy."

A Personal and Emotional Journey

Victoria's interview is a deeply personal and emotional account of her experiences. She reveals the constant pressure and manipulation she's endured from her parents, including the cancellation of her mother's dress design and the repeated attempts to sign away her name rights. These experiences have shaped her perspective on family dynamics and the importance of personal autonomy.

"I've been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private," she says. "Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed."

A New Chapter

In the end, Victoria emphasizes her desire for peace, privacy, and happiness for her family. She believes that stepping away from her family has brought her relief and a sense of freedom from the anxiety she endured.

"For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," she says. "The performative social media posts, family events, and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into. But I believe the truth always comes out."

This interview marks a significant moment in Victoria Beckham's public life, offering a rare glimpse into her personal struggles and her determination to forge her own path.
